Joel Kotkin is professor of urban studies at Chapman University and director of its Center for Demographics and Policy. He is executive editor of NewGeography.com and the author of The Human City: Urbanism for the Rest of Us (Agate B2, 2016), and, most recently, of The Coming of Neo-Feudalism: A Warning to the Global Middle Class (Encounter Books, 2020).
